
Swim School Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT
CLASS SIZES
1 – 3 participants per class with similar swimming ability
CLASS STRUCTURE
Infants 1-3yrs (swimming with parent)
Learn to Swim 3 – 4 years
Learn to Swim 4years and up
PRICING
Learn to Swim and Stages 1 and up
$65 per hour (maximum 5 children total see examples below)
$45 per half hour (maximum 2 children; 1:1 15 minutes each or 1:2 30 minutes same skill ability)
Additional 30 minutes there after $30.
Total maximum hours in 1 location 2 hours
Break down examples
· 1:1 adult to student 60 minutes (recommended for students over 8years maturity and stamina)
· share time with 1:1 lessons 20min / 30min
· Share the time Learn to Swim (no/ minimal water experience) – 1:1 adult to child 2 sessions x 20min sessions + 10-minute safety talk / rescue practise
· Share the time same student swim ability 1:2, 1:3 minimum 30 minute lessons
Infant Classes
$45 per 40 minutes
· Children around 3 years and under Adult to child ratio 1:1
Example; multiply children under 3 yrs ration 1 adult to 1 child. Swim teacher with 1 child, parent/ career with 1 child.
PAYMENTS
Direct deposit – proof of payment must be sent through 24 hours before the scheduled class
Square Reader – (surcharge fee will be applied) must be paid before class commences
Insurance
IME – Insurance Made Easy
Class of Policy: Austswim Public Liability & Prof. Indemnity
RESCHEDULING / CANELLATIONS / DANGEROUS WEATHER
Rescheduling – life changes quickly with kids please allow minimum 4 hrs notice to reschedule a class. A refund or make up classes will not be offered if notice is not given within time frame. Contact directly at mobile number by text and phone call.
Cancelations - minimum 24 hrs notice to be given for a cancelation of a class if refund is required. Less than 24hrs will result class being rescheduled at the next suitable time for teacher and student.
Sick – Please notify me as soon as possible if the student is sick and unable to attend class.
Pilbara weather – classes WILL BE CANCELLED for lightning, heavy rain, strong winds and server weather warnings within 10Km
Classes WILL NOT BE CANCELLED for light rain and thunder
Cancelled classes will be rescheduled, however if no reasonable date can be made for a make-up lesson a refund will be provided.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND POOL CONDITIONS
Instructors responsibility
· Take reasonable care to ensure good health and safety procedures are always implemented
· Identify and support measures to eliminate or minimise unsafe conditions
· Assume personal responsibility for their own safety
· Demonstrate Sun Smart choices
· Up to date on First Aid and CPR training
· Asses the pool depth and suitability to swimming activities
· Have first aid kit and emergency procedures in place
Pool environment – Owners responsibility
The pool owner needs to ensure that the place of the lesson provides a safe working environment. This includes factors such as:
· Pool temperature (ideally 28 – 32 degrees) this is important during winter seasons approx. May to October where the instructor will only take clients with heated pools.
This is to ensure maximum participation from the student and to avoid health risks to the instructor.
· Quality of the water (regularly tested) the instructor reserves the right to ask for a test to be done the day before class with evidence.
· The surrounding pool area is clear from obstructions
· The pool meets council regulations.
· Refunds not given if pool environment T&C not meet
Parent / Caregivers responsibility
· You are required to stay on the premises during your child’s lesson.
· You are welcome to watch the class if you desire (ages 3 and up where adult is not in the pool).
· I ask that you trust me to make decisions on the child’s behaviours in the class and will let you know if assistance is needed.
Sickness
· Swimming is prohibited if you are unwell and include: - Colds/ coughs/ flu/ viral or bacterial infections, hand foot and mouth, Streptococci, ringworm, tinea, plantar warts, bodily discharge - Conjunctivitis, ear infections.
· Symptoms of gastroenteritis, vomiting / diarrhoea must be clear for at least 48- 72 hours
· Open cuts and wounds can be covered with waterproof bandage if the swimmer wishes to do lessons
